Perhaps the really ingenious aspect of this new portrait is that you painted him in blue. You must surely be aware that blue is the color of sorrow, eh? So, Heydritch sits stooped over his violin [I noticed that too] and sings or plays the Blues on it while perhaps reminiscing about his past -and regretting it, hopefully. His expression is thoughtful and sombre, which reflects the over-all mood of the portrait very adequately. This is perhaps also one of the more human portraits you have pained of him to date. It is simple, straightforward and charming. A simple rural or town setting would fit nicely.
