This is another illustration to story which is writen by ( [link] ) Its about goddess learning new feminine things and meeting person who helps her. Again based on slavic mythology
watercolour and acrylic
Here Goddess Heydrich decide to hunt Koschei, who is her awful past and poisonous thoughts. She ask girl to stay in home and promise that she come back to her as soon as she defeat the monster. Goddess dress is inspired by Mehoffer piece "Natura i Sztuka" (Nature and Art) and appeared before in Zlota Baba story. Here Goddess is similar to Lady of Animals, her name may be Dziewanna (wiki : Devana or Dziewanna is the Slavic equivalent of the Roman goddess Diana, mentioned by 15th century Polish historian Jan Długosz in Annales seu cronici incliti regni Poloniae (History of Poland). Her name, though similar to Diana's, is apparently derived from Slavic word that means 'virgin' or 'maiden' (deva, dziewica). However, most of contemporary scholars don't regard Annales seu cronici incliti regni Poloniae as a reliable source on Slavic mythology and have doubts about existence of such deity in Slavic pantheon ), but as we can see this name could be invented by Długosz, but for sure Lady of Animals existed in Slavic mythology, just we don't know her name.
Seems as though i could be in the Frank Herbet book Dune.
_Diuna_ (transl. Marek Marszal, originally _Dune_), Iskry (1985), also Phantom Press Int. (1992). _Diuna_ (transl. Jerzy Lozinski, originally _Dune_), Zysk i S-ka (1997, reedited 1998).
